Top IITs in India - The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are autonomous bodies governed by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). IITs have a common admission process for admission to its BTech courses which is JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). Engineering aspirants seeking admission into the IITs in India will have to qualify both JEE examinations – JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

JEE Main 2024 will be conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) twice a year: first time in January and second in April, for admissions to the NITs, IIITs & GFTIs. JEE Main is also the first stage of the IIT admission process. JEE Advanced is the second stage which is conducted for admission to the 23 IITs in India. More than 10 lakh candidates enrol for JEE Main every year but only the top 2.5 lakh test takers qualify for JEE Advanced.
